A female student named Beau (for beauty)  falls in love with the God of depression, Melancholy and as she falls more in love with the God of depression she gets more and more depressed. She 'gives in' to the depression. The god of depression is a metaphor for her troubles with work pressure and problems and she lets it consume her. She sees the god but for example her friends don't. The one to eventually help her get out of her depression is Prudence, the god of wisdom and good choices.
