Does it really?

It's been nine months. Nine months full of nightmares and pain where Iria and Ethan seemed to forget about every promise. Their friendship seemed insurmountable after the months of coldness until Ethan makes an important decision that will turn the tables of the situation they are living.
One last promise, save Iria from her sadness. 
It didn't seem as hard at first but then Ethan realizes his friend's critical situation. He can just rely on the memories from when they were kids, on all those things that once distracted them from a bad childhood, such as The Neighbourhood's songs, blanket forts or irrational plans during getaways.
What Ethan didn't remember was how good his best friend kissed.
