All of our worst human traits  - gossiping, judging, comparing, anxiety, narcissism - and our own negative thinking patterns come down to one thing.  The fact that we are animals.
We are supposedly the most intelligent species on earth.  I would argue that we cannot claim that accolade until we admit that we are animals and that much of our 'bad' behaviour is based on our instinct to survive.  Every other creature on earth has just one priority in life - to survive.  What makes us think we are any different?
