Gladys is the princess of the Sirens and a child of prophecy. War between pirates and sirens has shaken her home. Many have suffered, including her. Now, 300 years after the beginning of the war, Gladys hears a mystical song calling her to come save her home. But, in order to save her home, Gladys has to decide if she is willing to accept help from pirates.

Ember has broken the rules before. She has swam to the human shores and seen humans. Unfortunately, it's not all the glamor that fairytales boast. She returns to the sea, battered and bloody, but her battle is over. Until she is chosen to go back to the humans.
