Eighteen-year-old Noctem Aurea started reading the books from his father's study early on, leading him to dream of actually seeing the world beyond the edge of the cavern. But the unreasonable laws were an issue, all of the books he'd been reading since he was eight, leaving and even talk of the other directions being illegal. The only thing he wants to do on his birthday is to go outside, his mother thinks it is better to go to a museum so Noctem flies off with a plan to see the outside.
Now a criminal he has nowhere to go but forward. Meeting a new friend and many people help him learn about not only the world but his people from a different perspective, some of the things he hears he doesn't want to believe but continuing his journey with the guidance of his new friend and hearing similar things he can't help but do his research on the subject, his home Direction.
On his journey, he finds things that are much worse than he was told by the other Directions, things that would make everyone riot against his old government.
No promises on finishing this, I started writing it in my creative writing class.
