Kinley Evans was okay not applying for a Hero program when all her friends were at the end of their 2nd year of high school.

She couldn't apply, even if she wanted to. Kinley is Quirkless. In a world where a majority of the population possesses some special ability, she was the minority. Not in a way that harshly cut her out of society, but in a way that didn't make her feel all that useful.

So when her parents, who teach for a Hero program in America, tell her they are moving to Japan for an opportunity to teach at U.A. High; she thinks nothing of it. Until she finds out she will be enrolled in this school with the Hero students from Class 1A.

Kinley quickly finds out how hard it is to train to be the Number One Hero.

Throw feelings into the mix? Jealousy, heartbreak, low self-esteem, pride, hatred?

That makes getting to the top even harder.
