Alongside Vlad and Billy are Vlad’s father, Nikolas, and vampire school headmistress, Patience. First, they come across a group of Anti-Vamps, where Vlad gets a magical blade. Second, they run into a clan of Hunters, where they each get a set of armor and some new weapons. Third, Billy and Patience get taken by some creatures and Nikolas and Vlad must fight their way to them. Along the way they face many obstacles, both physical and mental, but overcome them as a team and as a family.
