When scrapper and former Jedi Cal Kestis' life explodes in his face after a single accident at work, he's thrown into the hands of a former Jedi Master, a gambler/pilot, and a girl that's just a little too skilled with a blaster and Vibro knife, Cal is forced to dig in deep inside himself and try and trust the three, while also helping rebuild the order. But when everything goes wrong, and Cal is severely injured while on Zeffo, he's left to trust this mysterious girl he's barely known for a month with his life. And the last thing he expected was to fall in love with her.

After escaping the Second Sister, and meeting the crew on the Mantis, Cere and Greez aren't the only ones he meets. Kylin Gailes is a human girl from Coruscant, living in a small home after the death of her parents. But when Order 66 destroyed the Jedi Order, Kylin was forced to live in the streets. She believes in the Jedi Order, and wished it could be restored. Five years after Order 66, and still living in the streets, Kylin gets picked up by the Mantis, staying with the crew for five months before Cal's arrival. Now, as Cal begins his journey to restore the Jedi Order, he and Kylin journey through the galaxy to restore peace and fight the Empire. But as the journey continues, Cal doesn't see Kylin as just a friend anymore. Can he keep his head in the game while protecting Kylin? Or will he screw up and get them both killed? The pain was insufferable. The platform I was standing on was coated in darkness, endless rain pouring from the clouds and the waves deep down under the platform threatened to swallow the city in whole. The heavy cold drops were knocking against my head, but I felt something much warmer leaking from underneath my hands. I tried to push it harder, but there was no strength in my muscles. I almost tripped over my own legs. I heard a dull humming of some machinery as I dragged myself to the door. My legs started to shake uncontrollably when I raised one hand to push the door panel A deadly wounded young woman appears at Kamino and survives against all odds. Turns out Jedi order was missing her for several past years. But how did she appeared there and what happened to her meanwhile? And will she be able to find her place among the republic armies? And what about that trooper that she can't get out of her mind?
