Greer Cummings moves to California with her brother Beckett. They tragically lost their parents eleven years ago and have been close ever since. The past year has been hard for Greer and has changed her and left scars. She is no longer able to trust people and struggles to really tell anyone what happened the past year. Moving to California means a fresh start. Right away she meets Wesley, who at first thinks she's just a hot girl to play with, but soon realizes the interesting aura that Greer wears and something tells him to stick around; and he vows never to leave until Greer learns to trust him. But as soon as she does, and tells him everything, he wonders what to do with this newfound knowledge. Will he betray her?
