After a terrible accident takes most of her family and leaves her paralyzed from the waist down, nineteen year old Erin is now beholden to her young uncle Desmond, only a few years her senior. Hailing from a small, backwater town, Leslyn makes his way to the king's city of Nilvar to build a better life, far away from the strife back home. But, before he even reaches his destination, he is caught stowing away on a prince's ship, a moonbrained girl mistakes him for her uncle, and he nearly gets eaten by a giant blue griffin who then holds a definite grudge over the whole ordeal. And it gets worse. Oh yes, a lot worse. They're all headed for the same destination, and thanks to Nilvar's strict laws over earning one's citizenship, it looks like he's going to be stuck with all three of them for several years to come.

If I introduce a moral dilemma for mc to make a decision, then mc is making a decision. There will be no hidden option, no choice to wait for plot armor to give them a morally perfect answer.
