Emlee had a normal life. Well, used to. Her parents gotten divorced when she was 11 years old. Emlee had an older brother named Kriss. Emlee and Kriss used to be inseparable, until the divorce. Kriss was in 8th grade at the time and Emlee was in 5th grade.
Kriss was broken. He got bullied at school everyday. He pushed everyone in his life away. He was depressed and attempted suicide. But failed, obviously. Emlee was then diagnosed with anxiety around that time after the attempt. She gets anxious whenever Kriss isn't around.
Emlee has to take medication for her anxiety, but the pills have a symptom of depression.
Emlee lost all her friends after Kriss's suicide attempt.
But....Emlee's freshman year of high school might just have a turn around when she meets the new kid, Lucas.
