After the events of the MW2 campaign, Task Force 141 gears up for their next big challenge. However, before they can get started, they must deal with a parting gift from General Shepherd. Before going underground, he used his power to reassign the members to different units. Laswell and Price are able to get it under control, but not before Soap's departure date. Until it can get sorted out, Soap spends some time working under another lieutenant. Ghost doesn't appreciate the state that his Johnny is returned to them in.

When Task Force 141 was formed, Captain John Price didn't ask for another operative, but Kate Laswell sent one anyway. You were supposed to be retired in Alaska, living quietly after years in the field. But when the CIA came knocking with an ultimatum: return to duty or spend the rest of your life behind bars - you answered the call. After all, it's hard to outrun a past built in blood and legend, especially when you're the daughter of the greatest warrior of the 20th century. Thrown back into a world you swore you'd left behind, you find yourself fighting alongside Price and against the parts of yourself you thought you buried. Somewhere between the missions, the silence, and the scars, a love begins to take shape.
