Guardian of My Heart

In an alternate universe where Iruma is half demon, half human. His terrible "parents" aren't his true family, and neither of his true human or demon parents are known to him. Surviving in the human realm as a creature that shouldn't exist, Iruma struggles against the pain and anguish of his life day after day. But when his darkest hour approaches, a familiar presence comes to his aid. He will struggle to adapt to the Netherworld and its demonic nature, as well as survive the internal struggle within himself. Can he move on from the pain of his past and look towards a brighter future, or will he slip into the depths of despair the likes of which none have faced before?

(Or: Iruma is Opera's biological son, and he is rescued from the human realm by Demon Border Control and brought to the Netherworld. He has trouble fitting in with his fellow demons at first, but slowly things look like they're getting better. Stress over keeping his hybrid nature a secret begins to build, and he struggles to control his bloodline magic without letting it control him.)
