Nalani's whole life, everything had been chosen for her. Her role in the Omatikaya clan. Her mate. Her entire future. And within one night, everything she had ever known is taken away. She must find the strength to trust Ewya to steer her and her people in the right direction.

~Excerpt~

"Why do you come here?" The woman glared at me.

"I need to speak with Toruk Makto." I repeated.

"Do not see our caution as disrespect. The last person who came to speak to Toruk Makto killed his child."

My heart sunk. My heart sunk to the floor and I wanted to scream. But I didn't.

"I'm aware...I was betrothed to Neteyam once." I hissed.

Her face changed. It was as if in that moment, she realized I was who I said I was.

"Nalani?" The voice behind me sent shivers down my spine.

This story follows the first born child of the Olo'eyktan and Tsahik of the Omaticaya clan. Older sister to Neteyam, Lo'ak, Kiri, and Tuktirey. She was raised to be the perfect balance of Neytiri and Jake, maybe a little too perfect. Follow her story as she has to give up the only life she has ever known to keep her people safe. --**-- My grandmother notices my frozen state and makes her way to me. "My child..." I turn to look at her, "do not be afraid of life, do not be afraid of fate, be afraid of doing nothing to change it." As the words leave her lips, it sparks a dying fire in my heart. A fire I thought would extinguish along with my title. I smile and pull her into a hug, "I will find my way back to you one day..." I whisper in her ear. "I know, and when you do, you will be a different person. I cannot wait to meet her." With her final words, and a newfound light in my soul, I turn to follow my family down the pathway. I reach the end and mount Kxitx, and with one last look at my clan, I pull my headpiece over my forehead, yip to signal takeoff, and burst from the ground like a sapling reaching to the sun. And we were off. --**-- If you don't like the story, feel free to not read it. Don't waste your energy commenting you don't like something. Just move on. What I Didn't See - Ao'nung X Fem Reader

26 parts Complete

I was adopted at birth by the Sully family along with my twin sister Kiri. To say we were opposites was an understatement. My sister was connected to Eywa like no one had seen. Me, on the other hand, was not. I could never feel the great mother or that spiritual connection the Na'vi felt. I had suffered much because of it. The feeling of unacceptance and not being loved from my family who, in truth, loved me very very much and accepted me no matter what. But my mind would never let me see that. I isolated myself because of it. Lost my family because of it. Hurt because of it. Then there was the move. The threats of my family being killed by a very bad man. It would change everything I had ever known. #1 - atwow - aug 2023 #1 - sully - aug 2023 #1 - aonungxreader - aug 2023 #1 - avatar - sep 2023 #1 - kiri - oct 2023
