We as humans have no value if were not wanted by the vampires. They might want us for love, to abuse us, or just as a blood bag who knows, but as long as you're wanted, that's all that matters. When I was just a little girl, my mother was chosen by a vampire, leaving me alone to fend for myself. I hated her for that, for as long as I lived. But now that I'm getting older I think I kind of understand her. I want to be wanted I want a vampire to want me. To be specific, Alex Romano. Alex Romano is the most powerful vampire in our entire kingdom, and I wish to be his whether it brings pain or happiness, but he doesn't even know I exist.

But to her bewilderment, she is taken to Alex. A dangerous and high ranking vampire that enjoys toying with his victims. Knowing how precarious this vampire is, Evie still can't shake the feeling that his striking blue eyes are reminiscent of something but what.
