Y/n's life wasn't always easy, being the oldest daughter of Tonowari and Ronal, sibling to both Ao'nung and Tsireya, she had expectations. She had to do things a certain way to prove herself worthy of her family. Being a good role model for her sister, keeping her brother out of trouble knowing he was next in line for olo'eyktan, but also making sure she kept herself on track. she hated disappointing her people and her parents, so she always did extra to make sure she didn't mess up.
But all that changes when a family from the forest comes to seek sanctuary, a safe place to live; Y/n started to see the world differently, a good different, she didn't know why because it was only a few na'vi from the forest, but when the oldest son of the family made eye contact with her, she knew everything would MOST DEFINITELY be different...

(Story written in 1st person, present tense) Where the strong currents of the Reef lead Ao'nung to the jungles, and there he meets an Omatikayan boy willing to help him get back home. *** Upon one of the usual father and son quarrels, Ao'nung decides he's had enough, and so he flees his home, beyond the reefs--the last place he's allowed to go to, or any water Na'vi for that matter. It's a forbidden place. A no-go zone. It was supposed to be a break to clear his head, far from home, but not too far. He was supposed to return.
