(Based off the novel "Fangirl" by Rainbow Rowell) Kurt Hummel has convinced himself that he is perfectly content with blending into the background during his freshman year of college. He expected his college life to be pretty non-exciting if he was being completely honest with himself- and not even just the first year. But no one could have warned him about the fine print that he didn't even consider checking into.
He sort of feels like an explorer with all the things he's discovering now. Those pamphlets they gave him in high school did nothing to prepare him for what he learns. He's got a surly roommate with her charming, always-around boyfriend- who might not even be her boyfriend; a fiction-writing professor who gets off on intimidating the entire student body; a handsome senior classmate who only talks about words; a dorm room the size of his closet back in Lima...
...and somehow he has never felt more at home.

Dr. Addison Coles moved away from everything and everyone he knew because he was tired of being different and alone. I've never known what I wanted. After high school, everyone is supposed to know what they want. Right? Me? I guess not. I spent a year of my life in community college trying to figure myself out while all my friends are living their best lives. Partying. Drinking. Having fun. However... I spent two years with my nose to the grindstone, studying hard to get my grades up and working as much as I can. Applications for university open up and it all paid off. "I walked over to where Aaron was sitting on the ground, kneeling so that I was face-to-face with him. He was wearing a blank expression on his face so I guess he didn't really care if I kissed him or not.
