Rejection From The Start

Rose Thorns was a meek, oblivious, trustful, 16 year old girl, enjoying the warmth her mate, Xavier Gray, gave her. She was the Luna of the Midnight Pack but was very weak because she didn't reach her full potential; as a result, her pack looked down on her. So what does Xavier do? He cheats on her with Rose's best friend, Ruby, just for the thrill of it. Though it wasn't his plan to get caught red handed in the end as well as her leaving him either.

Finding a new home, Rose begins again, but because of her weakness, she couldn't stop the tragic things coming for her. But who knew, that the pain and sadness that she faces was going to be the one thing awakening her to her true form? Awakening her blood lust?

Xavier yelled after me, his voice booming throughout the halls of the pack house. His raised voice brought attention to us as people began to stop and stare; some even daring to whisper to each other in front of me. Glaring at those people, I stopped in my step, not turning to him, but not ignoring him,

"See, that's where the problems lie. I was too careless, too far in love to notice the obvious lies you were making. I was too weak to face you head on, too weak to save those people, too weak to protect myself. But things changed. What happened? What happened was that I realized that in this world, you can't trust people who can say 'I love you' so easily. But you're right Xavier, I WAS sweet and caring, but that was in the past. The person you're dealing with is the me NOW, so if you have any complaints, keep it to yourself because I'm not the same Rose that would wag their tail so eagerly for you, the Rose that would want to please you every fleeting minute. I'm the Rose that grew up; the Rose you broke. So yes Xavier, I do have a heart. But I'm far too fucked up now to feel anything with it."
