Dipper's 'death' leaves Mabel with slight survivors guilt. Since her parents died, she now lives with her grunkles in the (S)hack.
Mabel picks up the habit of going to the woods to clear her mind, and she often feels a presence following her, to the right, a little behind her, like her Dip-Dot used to.
So she decides to visit his favorite spot.
