Mars is a bright young girl who loves outer space and has a promising future in store for her. Her parents are letting her become more independent and things are starting to look good for her. One lonely night, as Mars is making her way home, she is attacked by an assailant who leaves her for dead. After the attack, Mars ends up in a sanctuary of sorts, not able to talk or move. A mysterious stranger offers to take care of her, but Mars has her doubts
