If you're thinking that this story is about the famous ios game, subway surfers, then you're completely incorrect. However, the main characters have made it a habit of playing games with eachothers hearts.

When Summer Rodriguez's parents go through an awful divorce, her Dad is the only source of income for their family. Money is tight in a single parent family, unless your parent is rich. Summer and her twin brother, Kian, both decide they should get part time jobs in order to lift some of the weight off their Dad's shoulders. Should be easy to find a part time job in the middle of nowhere, right?
Wrong.
Summer tries almost every shop in her small hometown by the coast, but theres no luck. Kian took the last place available at the local grocery store, leaving Summer to find a job herself, which is difficult due to her lack of experience. Relatable, right? However, when Ethan Moore, one of Kian's friends, overhears Summer and her best friend, Elise, talking about Summer's work life, or lack of, he puts in a good word to his manager for her. The two eventually become co workers, and friends. Maybe even more than friends. But that's something you'll have to find out by reading.
