Of Gold and Sapphires

When human remains are unearthed in a sleepy English town, college student Sophie Wesbury is curious to discover the truth. She is also head over heels in love with new arrival Jake Macdonald and is eager to share her euphoria with best friend Maria.
However, all three teenagers share hidden traumas. Sophie struggles with the pain of her parents' separation and Jake endures racist bullying on his bus journey home from college. Maria is secretly jealous of their relationship as she harbours romantic feelings for Sophie and is terrified to reveal them.
Further tragedy strikes when after a night out in the town, Maria disappears. Sophie is distraught and plunges into despair. Amidst the chaos and confusion, she receives unexpected aid from a supernatural saviour.
