Sorry about the cover I didn't have a lot of time to design something better.

Maxine is an 18-year-old girl who is bored and lonely, living in California in the year 2351. She's always been fascinated with how humans used to live in houses, drive cars, and the fact that there used to be forests and parks everywhere. Now, after a war that nearly erased humanity, people are forced to live a strict, dull, communist lifestyle. Everyone seems okay with this way of life. Everyone except Maxine. Maxine had always been special; she was often able to predict events. How? She didn't exactly know...yet. When she starts having dreams about a tropical island where people live as they did in the 21st century, she meets the man of her dreams: literally. Her new boiling emotions bring her to wonder...what if it's a real place? When she starts her search for the island and bumps into Elis-the man in her dreams-she suddenly knows it wasn't all just a making of her imagination. Finding that island could mean finding the answers to her burning questions, and maybe even answers to questions she didn't know she had. However, not everything is what she thought it would be when she finally finds the island, and her dreams become a harsh reality. Elis turns out to be someone else, and when another man swoops in every time Maxine is in danger, she becomes confused about what love really is. The Advisors, the ten women governing the world, want to assimilate the people of the island, not knowing that those people have an extreme advantage over them. Maxine also learns that her family has been lying to her about who she really is. Ultimately, when the Advisors come to destroy the island, she must face the fact that she is the key to the island's salvation, and embracing her rapidly developing abilities is the only way to do so.

Pearl Blankenship, an autistic investigative journalist, witnesses the end of the world. Before the nuclear fallout can kill her, a mysterious being offers her a choice: come with him or stay on a dying planet Earth. **** Dumuzi, the being who offered, is an Anunnaki: a descendant of humankind's ancient alien creators. It is his mission to wipe out what remains of humanity in a few short weeks, sparing only those with a thirst for knowledge and moral character. After becoming a journalist, Pearl was mocked online, arrested for trespassing, and challenged globally for her conspiracy theories. Two things she knows for a fact: mankind deserves a second chance, and staying on Earth sounds... well, hazardous. She hopes that by getting closer to Dumuzi, she might be able to change his mind about humanity, as he is a councilman with power. But it isn't going to be easy. Communicating? It's difficult for her. And he is cold, wary of humans, and has weeks left to live due to an illness that plagues him. The more time she spends with him, the more his illness accelerates, and the more steamy attractions ignite into something seriously dangerous. The clock is ticking. On Planet Earth, life goes on for Ignis Oriri, a teenager almost halfway through her sophomore year of high school. Her parents both own big tech companies, which she's been preparing to run all her life. She spends her days getting good grades, participating in tech competitions all over the state, and hanging out with her friends, living a peaceful life overall. Life, however, has a change of plans. A threat is rising, not on Earth, but in a parallel world. Ignis gets swept up into it after a visit from an old family friend, discovering new friends, new technology, new dangers, and, oh, maybe a bit of magic. She finds that she's been handpicked to someday become part of the government of this world, along with five others. On top of training, adjusting to her new school, and preparing to fight a dormant threat, life turns into a rollercoaster for Ignis, who starts to question, is anything really what it seems?
