Chamberlain, Maine. Small quiet-town, full of residents who knew each other through coexistence and closeness. Among these residents, there was Brick Campbell's family, a shy and friendly boy who during a Sunday Barbecue Party, was playing hide-n-seek with some kids when, in his best hiding place, he found a little girl, younger than him apparently. She was sitting on a tree trunk, having a depressed and lackluster look. Her name's Carrie White.

Carrie White is Margaret White's daughter, known by town as fanatically religious woman and very strict mother when about her traits towards Carrie. Carrie's hardly seen outside and when she does, she was always looking frightened towards her mother. And during that early-afternoon Sunday, Brick noticed a slap mark at her delicated small cheek, which made his heart feeling broken and sensitized. Since then, Brick had been interested by that little girl and now, he's trying his best to help her as he can.
