Ivar, a young Viking girl soon to be chiefess prepares herself to lead her clan. She is a descendent of chief warriors who have led many victorious battles, allowing the clan to prosper for centuries. As the years pass by her strength and wisdom grows. One day she is set to be named chiefess. While she feels prepared to take upon this responsibility she is not ready to let go of her childhood. She is not ready to give up the moments she spends alone exploring the forests in search for ancient spirits, splashing through the clear rivers, and private archery practices at sunrise. On the day before her initiation Ivar decides to spend as much time in the forest, but she is met with a surprise. She is met with an unfamiliar beast.
