When people say they were saved by a pet, they are usually exaggerating. That, or they mean the pet protected them when they were in danger from the world. You don't usually hear about a dog saving her owner's life by becoming their service dog after protecting their owner, from themselves. The true story of how my service dog, Raven, saved my life.
