The idea is taken from "The darkest minds" the movie but the colors are different, and thought holds the same powers. I don't own the idea but the story is mine.

Emily finally gets her abilities after six months in a lab. She's black, meaning the most destructive. Leaving the medical facility behind me in ashes, I'm on the run from the government seeking out others like me-someone who can learn me how I'm supposed to control and hopefully protect myself using my ability.All Rights Reserved

Some of the book characters would show up mostly in later parts of the story (except for one, who showed up as soon as the first chapter), and the story itself is tightly knitted to the events in The Darkest Minds book series, so one do need to read them in order to enjoy this. Also, even though I tried my best to not contradict the canon, there are still some fundamental elements in this story that has to go against the grain. (i.e. Cole's death) You might notice that the chapter titles are all Beatles songs, but I actually didn't put them there as a playlist; in other words, you don't have to listen to the title song while reading the chapter. They used my vulnerability against me. They used that weapon, to make me accept their stupid idea. And I of course, accepted it, I didn't even know what they were going to do. They turned me into something, that neither do they know what I am. Their afraid of me, of my reflexes, my strength. I killed a lot of them. They say I have a cold heart, that I don't feel nothing.
