My name is Katelyn Shade. My parents abandoned me when I was a baby when they discovered my secret. They left me on the doorstep of an orphanage in Central City. When I was in the orphanage I went to Central City Elementary, Middle, High School. I was the only kid who's parents didn't die. Everyone knew that I was unwanted. They treated my like trash and I was sick of it. I was a really good student and one day I got a full scholarship to Gotham Academy. I took it and left everything I knew to go to Gotham, including my best friend Wally. He is my best friend and the only one who knows my secret. So the night I left was the hardest night of my life. Now I go from place to place in Gotham, taking what I need from those who won't miss it. I get into street fights pretty often , that's pretty much inevitable. But the day that I start Gotham Academy will truly be the day everything changes.

14 year old Jade Knight is the Jester, adopted daughter of The Joker and Harley Quinn. She's been with them since she was a young child but spent a few of those years training with assassins. She is meant to take over the role of being the Joker but to do so she has to kill Robin. Robin is guessed to attend Gotham Academy so Jade is sent there undercover as a new student but finding Robin is harder than it looks. She makes a friend called Dick Grayson and after a while he starts to make the things the Joker and Harley put into her head go away and she sort of changes and realises she doesn't actually want to be the Jester anymore. She finally tells Joker and Harley she doesn't want to be the bad guy anymore but they don't accept it and try to kill her. She's then saved by the league but when she wakes up Joker is gone and left a broadcast announcing that Jade was the Joker, the one thing she feared most of becoming and it breaks her making her loose what's left of her sanity. Nearly two years later she finds out that Dick didn't die and that he was under a new name, Nightwing. But will his return be enough to reverse her being the Joker or will she still stay insane?Complete
The Light in Darkness
This story about a little girl named Katrina Parkman, who is six years old and lives in an orphanage. Katrina lost her parents a year ago in a car accident. Upon waking up to a three week coma, Katrina was moved to a local orphanage called Little Treasures. There she met two of her orphan roommates, Billy and Sophie, and her caregiver Rosa. Out of the three people, none of them she would call a friend. Her only friend is her stuff teddy bear named Mabel. One day, before the bus arrived to pick up the orphans for school, a report was released telling the citizens of Gotham that another kidnapping and school shooting has occurred. This was the fourth school shooting and kidnapping to take place that month, and still none of the kidnapped children have been found. Sadly though, Katrina will find herself in the middle of another school shooting and will become a victim. The question is, will she survive? Find out more in "The Light in Darkness". I honestly didn't realize how broken I was. I just figured that if I shut all my feelings out that they would go away. They didn't. They came back strong as ever. And I did the worst thing that I could do. I let my feelings get the best of me. My daddy told me to never let anyone walk over me. And yet that is exactly what everybody does. But what happens when a Bat figures out it's not so random, and these teen-aged criminals are not as "bad" as they make themselves out to be? He would sneak her in so she would have a place to sleep sometimes. Finally when she started to create a name for herself, he ended up pushing her away. They haven't seen each other in years until fate brings them back to try and save the city from Bane with the help of The Batman. I do not own Batman or anything. I just own my character. Sequel to Cracks: A young Justice fanfiction After Wally, Artemis, and Robin are rescued, you'd think things would go back to normal. But since a certain team is suspended, the teens don't see each other much. The teens go back to 'normal' lives for the time being. Things at school are difficult for the three teens though. Artemis was treated as a lower class since she was there on scholarship. And after returning things seem worse. Richard also had problems, being a short, adopted 'nerd' the others find it fun to harass the young boy. Wally never had it easy at school. He had many enemies that took advantage of his brain. Things continue to get worse, with Wallys Father still on the loose, what will these teens do? Will they ask for help? Or try to deal with ir themselves?
