Seeking wisdom is something humans have always done through the ages. That desperate need for knowledge is something all humans crave, even the ones who deny it. 

It's what brought you to Sumeru, as the daughter of a rich Liyue merchant your family desired nothing more than for you to learn your trade and more in a nation that is known for its wisdom. What you don't expect however is for everything you've ever known within the Akademiya to come crashing down. 

Now the scholars that Sumeru once praised are exiled. What was once a seemingly thriving place of knowledge has crumbled down to the ground, only to be now built from the ground up. 

In the chaos of order trying to be restored, strange dreams plague you. Every night it's always the same you're always with a man, the two of you are in danger always running. (Who is that man?!) 

Unsure how much longer you can take this life style, or the dreams, you prepare to write home and inform your family you'll be returning soon. But just as you're ready to return a threatening note is left for you. 

Who wrote it? Why would they be after you? It didn't make sense, but who ever it was didn't want you leaving Sumeru. But no matter where you looked no one had an explanation for the death threat. 

In your desperation for knowledge you manage to capture the attention of the Acting Grand Sage who takes this case very seriously. 

But the answers you seek may not be as fruitful as you hope. Danger looms in the distance with death behind it. Not all wisdom is good. But maybe what's in store for you is fate. The ultimate knowledge...

Now he found himself in a cell: he thought he would have been put somewhere where he could have been alone with his thoughts, but to his dismay, it didn't go that way. He found himself together with another person, who called herself (Y/N) and was rather talkative. "Nothing is going to happen anyway", you thought when you tried to befriend the new attractive guy sent in your cell, even if your bond was bound to eventually break the moment Alhaitham got out. But you were wrong. Not long after your meeting the guy and his being released, you too were released, your caution payed by some 'mysterious benefactor'.
