Vineya is the niece of Ronal; the wife of Tonowari, chief of the Metkayina clan. after her mother had died and her father was only a name in her mind, the chief and his wife took Vineya in, now prepping her to be a healer, a medic and helper of the injured or sick. Even though she was older than Aonung, who would be the next clan chief. 

  Vineya did enjoy being a healer, yet she always had this empty feeling. Something she could not place her finger on. She had a certain longing and could not find her fulfillment. That was until one day a family of forest na'vi from the Omatikaya clan arrived. And one of them, the oldest, had caught her glance. Vineya did not know in that moment that everything would change.
