Both an air ambulance and a land ambulance are used to evacuate people who require medical assistance. There are, however, some significant differences between the two. A ground ambulance is a car that's used to drive patients, typically to a hospital or other medical facility. A helicopter or fixed-wing aircraft called an Air Ambulance, on the other hand, is used to transport people who are seriously ill or injured and need to travel a long way or to a distant place. Both are staffed with highly skilled medical professionals and have cutting-edge medical technology.
