I wrote this little story during one of my hearing colleges out of boredom.
I wanted to show 2 different perspectives of lives, out of the eyes of people who live in very different situations, very different lifes, but still can feel the same way about it.
Eyes is a short story, exisiting out of 2 short chapters about 2 persons' feelings at one specific moment in their day.

Ruby's been on her own ever since she can remember. Her father didn't stick around much and her mother was always drunk, she found out that life is hard all on her own. After her mother died and she was heart broken by her high school sweet heart. She sells her Mobil home and lands a scholarship at Michigan state university. She passes her days studying book and her night underneath the sheets having fun. That is, until she meets the pair of blue eyes that see past her walls. Ruby is thrown of her game and really dislikes her new friend. After many days of midnight chats, Ruby begins to feel different.
