Tom Hiddleston is a famous actor (duh!) and Alaska James is just a regular girl.
When Tom crashes through her window, a strange relationship unfolds. He takes her out to dinner, takes her to the cinema to see a movie.
Later that night, Alaska is frightened by the movie's contents home alone and finds herself back at Tom's house.
They spend the night together, nothing sexual, just sleeping and talking. She tells him she loves him and he says he loves her too.
