Diavola Mismora is a female detective in modern day society. Atleast that's what she was before she found Lakeland and they settled down in a quite surburban home, excepting to live a life in solitude with just the other as company. All that's changes when Diavola's ex friend's ,Orabelle, body is found upon her front door and the police don't beleive Diavola when she says she didn't do it. Due to Orabelle's fame, the president of the US gives diavola one last ditch effort to solve the case and prove her innocence. But to do that she must join forces with Sybil Lancaster, a fellow detective who's been all the rage recently and one who has garnered Diavola's deep resentment. Over the case of solving the murder mystery, Diavola learns that maybe Sybil isn't as bad as she seems. Or maybe that's just the other detective leading Diavola's feelings on. Or maybe it's the killer covering their tracks
