Love of Tomorrow

She was 13 when she came home from school one day and walked in her home to find her dad sitting on the couch with his face in his hands, suitcases were sitting next to him. Her dad hadn't noticed her yet until she cleared her throat grabbing his attention.
"Dad what's going on?"
"Hey baby girl, I wanted to see you before I left."
Her dad said standing up walking over to her he slowly pulled her into a hug, Diana reluctantly hugged back as if she knew this was goodbye forever. After that hug he grabbed his things and never returned, Diana knew that moment had changed her but she didn't care.
It wasn't later until Diana realized why her dad left she found out her mom had started using drugs and it was starting to get bad, her once loving mother was a crackhead who could care less of raising her daughter.
Diana got up walking out of her dingy room heading for the bathroom it took her 25 minutes to get showered and dressed, she barely had anything to wear since her mom never kept a job long enough to buy her new clothes.
Making her way to the kitchen to grab something to eat before school Diana was let down when she opened the fridge to see it was empty, her mom still hasn't gone grocery shopping.
"Fuck."
Diana muttered to herself closing the door to the fridge.
"Watch your mouth in my house."
Diana's mom said as she walked into the area looking beyond repair her once beautiful mom looked tattered and worn out, she'd hair was matted on top of her head and she looked and smelled as if she hadn't showered in a week.
"I thought you went grocery shopping."
"I did!"
Her mom lied.
"No the fuck you didn't mom there's nothing in there!"
Diana yelled on the verge of tears, how was this now her life.
"Watch your fucking mouth, don't you ever disrespect me in my house."
"This ain't much of a house, you haven't taken care of me in 4 years I've been raising myself this entire time since dad left!"
