A quick view of the
new world

It took ten years.
Ten short years
Maybe Less.

The Carvox were gone, driven away, and sent into hiding.
Without their guidance, the elements settled.

The air became thick, stale, uncirculated, it became hard to
breath. The earth became dry, as no water flowed freely underground, or above.
Lakes and rivers turned stagnant as the currents ceased to exist. Then
everything became hot as humans lost all control over fire and heat. The world
grew dark, all light seeped into the ground, and the shadows grew and grew
until they covered everything.

Power danced from one hand to the next. Each person in power
eventually reduced to nothing but a blubbering mess and control finally fell
into the wrong hands.

Lamia Tzila, along with her colleagues, Cain Boyle and
Bryce Hendrix, shaped the world in their image. Humans were reduced to nothing
but slaves, labouring for her cause, whether they wanted to or not. Under her
eye and her dark followers, the world could do nothing but give in.

"Ahhhhh what did I just do?!" I screamed. This question wasn't just about the mirror, it was about tonight, and frankly this whole crush on Oliver. It was ridiculous, absurd, unorthodox, and worst of all, it felt like a part of my heart had been ripped out. I grabbed a small broom and dust-pan, kneeling down and sweeping up the glass-covered floor. And as I was walking to put the shards in the garbage, I took one last look at myself in the broken shards. I made eye contact with my mirrored image, and I swore a solemn and silent oath to myself, "Never again." The forming of those words from my mouth had created a newfound feeling of freedom. A numbing sensation that prevented my emotions from surfacing. I had promised myself to never be vulnerable like that ever again. ******* What if the food chain turned on us? This is the question that defined the life of teenage protagonist: Amara Finley and her best friend: Oliver Macleod. All plant-life had come to life in a supernatural phenomenon that everyone had begun to call the "Bloom", and for some strange reason the plants began to attack humans. Their life and their world is dominated by plants, and with what little hope humanity had left, they fight with the winged brigade in hopes to rescue the world. Why did this happen? What caused the plants to go ballistic on humans? Is the brigade all that it appears? Will Oliver ever see her as more than a friend? ******* Oliver Macleod is in shock, and in grief. His loved one is brutally taken away from him. He doesn't know what to do with himself. Feelings of rage and sorrow transform into doubt and unbelief. The loss of this loved one is so prominent that it compels him to seek answers about their death. The more he looks, the less he finds. He begins to question if they truly are dead, or if it was all just one massive cover-up. When secrets are discovered and questions are answered he realizes that the brigade is not all that it seems.

No one ever knows the whole story... Nestled deep in the forests of the Pacific Northwest, something is emerging. Kept in absolute secrecy, it seeps into a fading town, quietly shared from person to person. For Alden Bensen, a directionless high school graduate, this discovery could mean an escape from his empty existence. To Rachel DuValle, perpetually underestimated and dismissed by the world, magic represents a chance to become something much greater than herself. In the face of an unsuspecting world, their decisions shape the growth of a budding society discovering untold power. This potent force offers anyone the power to change humanity forever - or send it cascading into swift and total annihilation. ----- The Last Science is an ongoing science-fiction / low-fantasy web novel series. New chapters will be posted on Fridays for as long as it takes to tell the whole story. "I saw you and you were just standing there. I started walking towards you and you-just-just stood there." Stuttered Stiles. "I tapped on your shoulder and you turned around. You didn't answer me. You didn't even notice I was there. You just stared at something, something that wasn't visible and y-you-" Paused Stiles, whose legs were vibrating and he started to breathe heavily. "And I what?" I asked trying to get the words out. "You died." He stated. "What?" Asked I, like he had just said the most craziest thing ever. It was slightly humorous. He had to be joking, I thought to myself. "You- just died." Murmured Stiles, who had stopped shaking and had stood up. -------------- The world consists of many parallel multiverses. Each separate and unique. We all know Earth 1, yet not many people are familiar to the lost planet, Earth 1000. The planet was Imperium; Declared the most powerful, biggest rogue planet of the multiverse- many people sought out to rule it. Therefore a war was sparked. Some people say, that the planet birthed death because of the deadly war. However, something else was birthed, an heir. Her name was Milia. She possessed true power and ultimately ended the war. Milia ruled the world and her children became the inevitable successors. Although they lacked Milia's gift, the future generation, though it was thousand's of years later contained Milia's powers. The children were named the true heir, therefore they were hunted. No hunter was more well known than the bitch, the baddest; Methaya. Being half human, half snake, her luminescent eyes turned the living into the inanimate. To save her children, the Queen of the planet rifted her children into Earth, where they lived for 500 years, unaware of their cursed destiny. After a prophecy declaring that the oldest would die, the truth started unravelling and they learnt things- that would change things forever. Genre: Mystery, Fiction and Fantasy Warning: it does contain cuss words.

(Book 1 of the Y/n Hale Series) Hi. I'm Y/n. I live in Beacon Hills with my dad and my cousin. I'm starting the High School here soon. I know a few people already. They're older than me but I only know them because of my dad. Stiles, Scott, Derek, Braeden, Malia, Allison, Lydia and Jackson. Allison died when Stiles was possessed by the Nogitsune and Jackson moved away to London after he was taken over by a homicidal lizard called the Kanima. There was also a boy named Isaac who moved away with Allison's dad Chris to France. And then there were twin Alpha's called Ethan and Aiden. Aiden died also during the time with the Nogitsune. But Ethan left after everything was over. But none of us know where he went to. I miss Allison so much. She was like a sister to Me. I'm also a werewolf by the way. The only downside to it is I have blue eyes. Which has to mean I killed an innocent. It was my best friend. Her name was Emily. She was hurt badly in a car accident and it was determined she didn't have long left. So her, knowing I had these powers asked me to give her the bite. But I didn't want to because I was scared it would kill her. It could have gone one of two ways: It could have either killed her or cured her. I told her that because she was so weak it could kill her more than it could save her. But she didn't care and I gave it to her. I miss her so much. She's gone and it's all my fault. I've never forgiven myself. I am also the first of my kind in Beacon hills, a werewolf hybrid. "Considering my drawing of a tree led us to the Nemeton, I should probably figure out what it means before it tries to kill us." The After Effects

40 parts Complete Mature

After it all happened, the Plague created what feels like a whole new world. Survivors created new lives for themselves and carried on with their lives. Me? I didn't get the chance to create a new life. Thanks to my absolutely wonderful father figure, I was forced to become an entirely different person. Thankfully I was able to escape his peachy influence and take some control of my new life. What I don't know is the Plague brought on after effects. Everything changed eleven years ago and only a few knew what actually happened after billions of people died. That all changes one-day though and I found my life completely flipped upside down. Cheers to The After Effects.
