Wei Wuxian had never had luck when it came to relationships, all of his deeper connections with people he cared about would always turn toxic or unhealthy in one way or another sooner or later. There was no exception in that department.
Wei Wuxian can be patient and he can also put up with many things. But what is enough is enough. He has no more desire to remain chained to someone for the rest of his life. That is when he decides to finally free himself and run away.

Part of the Between a rock and a hard place series, can be also read as stand-alone fan fiction but I recommend to read it after the previous parts of the series.
