Ever since his parent's death at the age of 10, Isekei was friends with the Kamado Family since he always bought coal from them everyday, more specifically, friends with the 2 oldest siblings: Tanjiro and Nezuko. He befriended their siblings, and helped their mom around the house if they weren't around. Isekei developed a small crush on Nezuko, but he didn't want to ruin their friendship, so he rejected his feelings for her. Tanjiro and Isekei were so alike, and were so compatible that they could be like brothers. Everything was nice and peaceful. However, one day, he never saw Tanjiro at his usual time. He decided to go to their home to check on them. After finding nothing but the dead family members, Isekei decided that it would be his life goal to avenge his family friends. After learning about demons and their leader, he knew that he needed to practice his swordsmanship skills, thus creating his own breathing technique: Lava Breathing. He decided to join the Demon Slayer Corps in order to do 2 things: to kill the demon responsible for his friends death, and if he'll ever find Tanjiro and Nezuko again, if they're still alive.
