When Paths Cross

City life in Metro Centrix is unforgiving in a number of ways, not excluding waking up early for work only to be there into the late hours, the long drawn out commutes, the poverty of the homeless and veterans -bless their souls-, or even the high end crimes happening around the clock disrupting everyday life. Yet no one seemed to care, content with simply looking the other way rather than attracting attention.

Those few who were loud and passionate about how much they cared for the issues, however, were mostly never heard from again.

For Emma, she tries to keep her travels through the city short, never wanting to sticking around longer than needed. Unfortunately, her boyfriend Aiden, wasn't often understanding of her dislike towards the city and kept her around for as long as he could when he made his way around town, no matter how much discomfort it brought her. He couldn't escape his love for his city life so she made do without too many complaints. But with her school life also being in shambles, Emma had come to loathe her life as a high schooler of Lone Oak Academy and a resident of Metro Centrix, Chicago.

She was at her wits end upon entering her senior year, until one day, a new student showed up to help her take back control with seemingly open arms. Though this student was much more... friendly and eccentric than Emma was anticipating, her help came with a price. But maybe city life isn't all that bad after all with this strange new girl around.

Unfortunately, that's not always the case behind the scenes.
