When 16 year old Izuku Midoriya sprains his wrist, he gets laid off the volleyball team for half of the season. He's disappointed, but in order for his wrist to heal, he follows what the doctor says. The coach is disappointed because Izuku is the best setter on the team. He's known for his surprise spikes during games and practices. It's what makes him so good!
When he accidentally runs into 17 year old quarterback Katsuki Bakugou, he immediately falls in love with the football player. But of course, football is much more popular than volleyball, and Izuku knows that. That doesn't mean the volleyball played doesn't have a shot, does it?
