The clan lives near the edge of a cliff, and there hasn't been a prophecy for ages. When a few kits are born, a new prophecy is given. It only promises a death and safety, but there are some other dangers that could get in the way.

Bramblepaw is not the most popular in her Clan. As a kit, her apprenticeship was set to be late due to her bad behavior. Now, she tries her hardest to be seen under a new light, a good light. But when she gets a warning of great devastation, she has to balance her skills to become a great warrior later on, keep herself under a good light, and try to figure out what the warning could possibly mean. Would she successfully make herself more liked and figure out what it means, or would she doom her whole Clan as a lousy, inexperienced apprentice? Meanwhile, her friend, Mousepaw is coping with personal issues and Coalpaw's worried he's failing as an apprentice due to him always finding a way to get his teeth messed up.
