This story revolves around two people. Both young but not children. Reggie is a nineteen-year-old mute and neurodivergent male, born into royalty and forced to be perfect. Only he wasn't perfect. His mother had seen that since Reggie's young age. His father however, didn't. Reggie was to be a king in his eyes, a sovereign ruler over their people that had no clue how to fend on their own. But Reggie's father was the one who couldn't provide positively. After years of ruling and poisoning their village, Reggie's father was dethroned, stripped of his title as king and shunned out of his home. They were forced away. Reggie's mother thought a city might be a better place for Reggie to thrive. To better understand himself as a person but their village, Reggie's home town, never grew out of medieval times, living so deep and far from thriving lands. Reggie wasn't used to being in such a large place, with so many different things to see and experience. It overwhelmed the poor boy. Alas, he went to school as every other child but Reggie was always seen as different. He was constantly picked on and bullied, mocked for his heritage. Reggie hated it more than he hated his home town. He felt like he was in a constant battle with the world and the people around him. Like a meek pawn with nothing but a wooden sword and a broken shield. He was drowning in a constant state of fear and rage. But a certain female takes his battered hand and pulls him out of that deep sea of pain. She reprimands his broken heart and sees him fully, a glowing flame threatening to burn in the ashes it sits on..but she becomes the spark of fire he needed to grow strong again. She saves his soul.
