With hunters weeding them out, shifters seem to be becoming more animal than rational. So when her heat cycle hits not having a male around of her breed is fine by her. Or he thinks so until Kasni walks into his life. Kasni proves a difficult temptation for Cole that he tries to ignore. Especially when she hits heat and sets off his own drive to mate.
