What if Jay kept his promise and found Spencer again? In a different life, an alternate universe even.

Two past US Rangers snipers meet through chance, over a spilled latte in a random coffee shop in Chicago. But the touch of a hand sparks a sense of deja vu deep within them both. Not the kind of deja vu you get when you feel like you've been in a place before in your dreams. But the kind that flashes a lifetime of memories across your eyes. The kind that actually feels real.

"Do I.. do I know you?"
"I don't know, do you?"

After the embarrassing incident at the coffee shop, Spencer didn't think she'd run into the scruffy brunette again. That was until the next day at a veterans support group her mom forced her into going to. Spencer looked up to meet a pair of eyes; the same pair of eyes the stared apologetically into the other day, the same pair of eyes that sparked a spiralling sense of deja vu within her.

As their friendship flourishes, Spencer turns to Jay for guidance. But how can we help her heal when he himself isn't healed? You never fully heal though, you just find something else to numb the pain with for a while.

Read along as they discover their feelings for each other are more than platonic. They were always meant to fall in love. In every life, they were bound to end up together. They're inexplicably drawn to each other. Even through the entire universe, their souls are tied.
