Morgan Bennett returns after a two month hiatus due to the events of book two.
While she was away, Chris focused on his healing which leads him to partner with a new, small firm, quickly cementing himself amongst the best in his new hometown with the showcase of his modern farmhouse - a design he's been secretly working on to surprise his fiancé with.
The engaged couple rejuvenate their relationship and wish to lead "normal" lives. Though, Morgan and Chris struggle with navigating life in the south without the help of their close friends or family.
They try to leave their old tendencies in the past, and actively aim to deny all allegations of the risqué life they left behind. But old habits die hard. As the saying goes, same shit, different city. The couple's loyalty, pride, and strengths are all tested at new levels.
