Minor work
I've been thinking of writing about some of my worst intrusive thoughts which I generally discard without much thought just out of how horrible they can be at times, yet it's interesting to try to write something of a kind I've never tried before - violence. Personally, I find the idea nerve-wracking, maybe because I've not read much either. Regardless, this was fun to create. I do not necessarily support the themes portrayed here, this is purely fictional.

undergoing 1st round developmental edits!! When Edith, an overworked college student goes no contact with her parents, she must find a way to financially support herself while she gets her degree. She enters a writing competition in which the winner gets a book deal. When she struggles to write the violence in the slasher novel she decided to write, she turns to drastic measures for inspiration. After all, you should write what you know... a/n: hi guys!! this is an (incredibly) rough first draft of what originated as a project in my Creative Writing class. We were given the school year to write an original novella, and this is mine! I've grown really attached to the plot, but at my current writing skill, I don't think I could've properly gotten the point across in the time I was given. I'm publishing it here both to share it with my friends and to hopefully find proofreaders! I would really appreciate it if you could leave suggestions in the comments as they occur, or dm me for longer explanations! I'd also love to have people to help with the outlining in general, so dm me if you want to see the outline so you can critique that as well!Complete

Levi's Last Hope
*COMPLETED* When Rosie turned thirty-one with nothing to show for it, she panicked. Suddenly it felt like her biological clock was ticking, but she didn't want to settle for a man for the sake of having a child. So, after falling down a rabbit hole of research online, she decided to find herself a sperm donor. A strangely vague profile ends up catching her interest. The only real thing she learned about him was that his name was Levi and he was in the military. One invasive and intimate procedure later, Lily was conceived. It was a few months after her daughter was born, when Rosie should have been fretting about the price of nappies and lack of sleep, her worries were overshadowed by an event she never, ever could have predicted: a zombie outbreak. Rosie locked herself away in Finches tower block, stocked up on supplies from abandoned neighbouring flats, and lived every day with the sole purpose of keeping her daughter alive. Doing so meant avoiding the dead as well as the living. She'd been doing a decent job of it so far. Until a man breaks into the tower block, but it wasn't just any man. It was Levi, Lily's literal sperm donor. And he was there to save them. -- When a bioweapon was released on UK soil, Staff Sergeant Levi James Brackley was sent from pillar to post in an attempt to help neutralise and contain. Once it was clear neither was possible the last resort was to form a safe zone on the Isle of Wight. Levi decided to stay behind. The last evac chopper left without him on board. He knew it was a shot in the dark, that they were probably dead already, but he had to try. Without knowing it, they'd become a beacon of light during the darkest time of his life. So these are my short stories. They are ideas I've had that I thought would make good stories, but I don't love or have a solid idea for them to write a complete story. But I could continue writing them if I wanted to come up with something. Or if I truly don't want to, then too bad? Let your imagination run wild and allow it to form your own story? This is just for me to get the short ideas out of my head when I have motivation. lol. Idk if anyone's gonna read these but here they are. Also I don't know when I'm gonna update this, it's just kind of when I want to. Each chapter is a different story and I'll post these between posting chapters of my main stories. + Co-written with Meteoritezr + First rule of living with the Flock? No names. Nothing real anyway. You don't survive with your humanity, you shed it, or it sheds you. Zombies were said to be impossible, that they'd never happen, well obviously whoever said that had underestimated human curiosity. It started with the melting of the Poles, which uncovered diseases that hadn't been seen in millennia. Obviously, when a flesh-eating parasitical virus was found, scientists in all their glory decided to study it, which led to the greatest calamity in human history. Warning: This is the original book 1, it is now considered more of a prelude/building character relationships arc than a book. This provides backstory and sets the foundation for the characters and their relationships. The action starts in the new book 1 - Migration. - TW: Gore, Cursing, Death, etc. Not recommended for anyone who can't stomach gore or other zombie stuff or LGBTQ+. Homophobia will not be tolerated in any way, shape, or form -Complete
