I am a lonely 45 year old Japanese author living in the small town of Magome of Kiso Valley. I have befriended a little girl I adore named Kiyoi right when the New Years hit, who became a beacon of inspiration for my work. But after her parents had been unexpectedly murdered, I have to act as her guardian and keep her safe.
