Jamie Carter is a rogue, after leaving her old pack at the age of twelve she lives her life as a lone wolf, with the exception of a few friends. When crossing a packs borders trying to escape from other rogues she is caught and taken to be questioned and then probably executed (again), until she finds out that the Alpha is her mate.

Xander Black is a cruel, heartless Alpha who doesn't care about rogues until he finds out that a rogue is actually his mate. When he tries to change who she is, (a feisty, witty brat who cares for only herself, in his opinion) well she isn't having it.

So what do you get when you put a casual, insensible girl with a controlling, sensible guy?
