It all started with Violet's sacrifice for the boy who she loved so much, but couldn't have. Killing 12 W.C.K.D. agents and assisting the Right Arm in the process, Violet locked all of W.C.K.D.'s research under a code that only Thomas knows. She knew that making Thomas valuable would save him from being killed by W.C.K.D. for hacking into their confidential information system. She's thrown into W.C.K.D.'s cruel experimentation and shoved into the maze. Thomas must search his brain for the code that Violet only said to "remember" in order to save her and take down W.C.K.D., all while Violet struggles to survive in the maze.
Violet's glade life has been rocky as the traumatic death of her best friend leaves her with a nasty scar and a deep hatred of greenies. But, what happens when a new greenie comes up that just happens to ignite everything inside her? He's different and seems...familiar.

She could go back and save as many as possible, especially the once that meant the most to him, but that also meant the risk of losing him in the process. Ever still doesn't hesitate.
