This story is about a young girl named Harriet who is growing up alone with no one to care or comfort her, so she finds her comfort and care through nature. She hears the voice of Mother Nature in the winds and her kisses through the rain, but she stills longs for the comfort of a real mother and the protection of a father. Then Harriet comes upon a family longing for a daughter they couldn't have offering her a home with love and care, will she leave Mother Nature for a real family or would she pass on what she's waited for her entire life?

Stranded on an uncharted island during an expedition gone wrong, Lyra must find a way to not only escape the strange island but survive its brutal environment and the creatures that lurk there.
